One of the oldest spices known to man, saffron has been used in traditional Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for centuries to help relax the nervous system. Affron® is the world's most published saffron extract with superior quality. It has been shown to support mood, stress resilience, and sleep through serotonin- and dopamine-mediated effects. It has been shown to reduce irritability, emotional swings, and nighttime anxiety, often improving overall wellbeing within weeks. • A double-blind, placebo-controlled study showed that perimenopausal women taking Affron® for 12 weeks experienced a reduction of 32-33% in low mood and occasional stress, without undesirable estrogenic effects.
  • In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study affron® intake for 4 weeks showed signs of improved mood and alleviated stress or tension related anxieties and associated fatigue. The affron® intake was well tolerated and no associated side effects were noted.
  • In a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled study, of men and women aged between 18 and 70 years, affron® supplementation was associated with greater improvements in sleep quality - with restorative sleep increasing by 20% - as well as an improvement in mood after awakening.
