Please share a little about what you do.

I’m a security consultant with a military background, having served for 24 years in the British Army before moving into the corporate security sector. Today I specialise in close protection, media safety and high-risk advisory work, supporting organisations, journalists and individuals operating in complex environments. Alongside my operational work, I’m passionate about continuous professional development, resilience and supporting the veteran community. I’m currently writing a book about my experiences, focusing on resilience, leadership and overcoming adversity, and I’m also involved in developing initiatives that improve wellbeing and support for veterans.

Health and fitness have always been a fundamental part of both my military and professional life. They aren’t just about staying physically fit—they’re about maintaining the resilience, energy and mindset needed to perform at your best, whether that’s on operations or in everyday life.

What brought you to STAIT for Women?

A colleague recommended STAIT to me, and I soon discovered that Shaun, one of the co-founders, is from the same village in the UK as I am. We even have mutual friends — it’s a small world!

Since I started using STAIT, I’ve noticed a real difference in my energy levels, recovery and overall wellbeing. It’s become an important part of my daily routine, helping me stay focused and perform at my best, both professionally and personally.

STAIT for Women speaks to women who are holding a great deal - physically, cognitively and emotionally - and are increasingly aware that how they feel is shaped by more than just willpower.

How do you remain physically capable, mentally sharp and ready for what life throws at you?

Throughout my career in the military and now in the security industry, I’ve learnt that resilience isn’t about pushing through at all costs — it’s about looking after yourself so you can continue performing when it matters most.

For me, staying physically capable, mentally sharp and emotionally resilient comes down to consistency rather than perfection. Regular exercise, quality sleep, good nutrition and taking time to recharge are all non-negotiable. Continuous professional development also keeps my mind engaged, while spending time outdoors and with people who inspire me helps maintain perspective.

As women, we often juggle multiple roles and place everyone else’s needs before our own. I’ve learnt that investing in your own wellbeing isn’t a luxury — it’s essential. When we look after ourselves, we’re better equipped to support our families, our colleagues and the people who rely on us.

I’ve found that STAIT complements that approach. It has become part of my daily routine, helping support my energy levels and overall wellbeing, allowing me to show up as the best version of myself, whatever the day brings.

There are plenty of products on the market. What makes STAIT genuinely different in your view?

I’ve tried plenty of products over the years, but what stands out about STAIT is that it isn’t about chasing quick fixes or making unrealistic promises. It takes a science-led approach to supporting overall health, energy and resilience.

For me, the difference has been how I feel day to day. I’ve noticed more consistent energy, better recovery and an overall sense of wellbeing. That’s particularly important in my line of work, where maintaining focus and performing under pressure are essential.

I also like the ethos behind the company. It’s clear that STAIT is committed to education and helping people understand their health, rather than simply selling a product. That authenticity, combined with my own positive experience, is what sets it apart for me.

STAIT for Women's key phrase is "Elevate Your Baseline" – encouraging women to remain strong. What does that phrase mean to you personally?

For me, Elevate Your Baseline means investing in yourself every day so that feeling strong, healthy and resilient becomes your normal — not something you only strive for when you’re struggling.

Throughout my military career and now in the security industry, I’ve learnt that peak performance isn’t built in moments of crisis; it’s built through the habits you practise consistently. Training, good nutrition, recovery, continuous learning and looking after your mental wellbeing all raise your baseline, so you’re better prepared for whatever life throws at you.

As women, we often spend so much time looking after others that we forget to prioritise ourselves. I’ve come to realise that taking care of your own health isn’t selfish — it’s what enables you to lead, support others and perform at your best.

To me, Elevate Your Baseline is about becoming the strongest, healthiest and most resilient version of yourself, so you don’t just cope with life’s challenges — you thrive through them.

For women reading this who feel they have a lot on their plate and may be neglecting their health, what would you want them to hear from you?

My message would be simple: you can’t pour from an empty cup.

As women, we’re often conditioned to put everyone else first—our families, our careers, our friends — and our own health is usually the first thing to slip. I’ve been there myself. But I’ve learnt that looking after yourself isn’t selfish; it’s one of the most important investments you can make.

You don’t have to overhaul your life overnight. Small, consistent changes — moving your body, eating well, prioritising sleep, taking time to recover and asking for support when you need it — can have a huge impact over time.

Whether you’re leading a team, raising a family, running a business or simply trying to juggle the demands of everyday life, you deserve to feel energised, capable and well. When you prioritise your own wellbeing, everyone around you benefits too.

For me, staying strong isn’t about being perfect — it’s about making choices each day that help you become a healthier, more resilient version of yourself. You’re worth that investment.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share with women who lead demanding lives?

Be kind to yourself.

Life will always be demanding, and there will never be a perfect time to prioritise your health and wellbeing. The reality is that the stronger you are — physically, mentally and emotionally—the better equipped you’ll be to handle whatever comes your way.

Don’t measure success by how busy you are or how much you can carry. True strength comes from knowing when to rest, when to recharge and when to invest in yourself. Those aren’t signs of weakness — they’re the foundations of resilience.

I’ve learnt throughout my career that resilience isn’t about never struggling; it’s about building habits that allow you to recover, adapt and keep moving forward. Every small step you take to look after yourself matters.

You deserve to thrive, not just survive. Invest in yourself with the same commitment and care that you give to everyone else. You’re worth it.
