What brought you to STAIT for Women?
What drew me to STAIT for Women was that it acknowledges the reality of women's lives. Many women are balancing life stress, careers, caring responsibilities, family, relationships and the invisible mental load, while trying to maintain their own health. As a clinical nutritionist and counsellor working with women, veterans and first responders, wellbeing isn't about chasing perfection, it's about having the resilience, energy and capacity to keep showing up for the things that really matter in life.
STAIT's message of "Elevate Your Baseline – Physically. Mentally. Emotionally." aligns closely with how I holistically approach health and wellbeing. When we strengthen those foundations consistently, we build the capacity to navigate whatever life brings.
STAIT for Women speaks to women who are holding a great deal - physically, cognitively and emotionally - and are increasingly aware that how they feel is shaped by more than just willpower.
How do you remain physically capable, mentally sharp and ready for what life throws at you?
To have the capacity to do the work I love, I come back to the fundamentals. Prioritising my sleep, good nutrition and supplements, regular movement, stress management and meaningful connections form the foundation of my wellbeing. I don’t view these as luxuries. They are the non-negotiables that allow me to train and recover well and remain resilient during life's inevitable challenges.
There are plenty of products on the market. What makes STAIT genuinely different in your view?
What stands out to me is STAIT’s holistic approach. Rather than trying to override the body's natural processes, the focus is on supporting the body's own physiology. Providing nutrients, minerals, wholefood ingredients and herbs that help support the body's endogenous production of hormones and the systems involved in hormonal health.
As a clinical nutritionist, I also appreciate the emphasis on foundational nutrition. We know many women are not meeting their requirements for key nutrients, and nutrient deficiencies can influence energy, mood and overall wellbeing. Add in stress and a demanding lifestyle our needs are even greater.
That philosophy of working with the body aligns closely with how I practice and support the people I work with.
STAIT for Women's key phrase is "Elevate Your Baseline" – encouraging women to remain strong. What does that phrase mean to you personally?
To me, "Elevate Your Baseline" means building a stronger foundation for everyday life.
Rather than constantly operating in survival mode or sitting in stress and burnout, it's about gradually improving your baseline so feeling energised, focused and resilient becomes your new normal. It's about supporting yourself physically, mentally and emotionally to face every day. When we elevate our baseline, we're better equipped to meet challenges, bounce back and recover more effectively and enjoy life with greater confidence and energy.
For women reading this who feel they have a lot on their plate and may be neglecting their health, what would you want them to hear from you?
Be kind to yourself. Self-care is not selfish.
So many women put themselves last because they're busy caring for everyone else. Prioritising taking care of your body and mind is what enables you to keep showing up for the people and responsibilities that matter most.
You don't need to change everything overnight. Start with one small habit. Protect your sleep. Eat nourishing food. Go for a walk. Ask for support. Small, consistent actions are what elevate your health over time, physically, mentally and emotionally.
